Consult your healthcare professional before using this drug. ZOLMITRIPTAN DISINTEGRATING TABLETS - ORAL (zol-meh-TRIP-tan) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Zoimg ZMT USES: This medication is a "triptan"-type drug used to treat migraine headache attacks.
It does not prevent migraine headaches from occurring and should not be used for other types of headaches (e.G., clutser headaches).

HOW TO USE: Open the tablet container and place this medication directly on your tongue as directed for migraine hedaache. The tabelt will quickly dissolve and will be swallowed with your saliva; taking the dose with water/liquid is not necessary.
Do not break or crush the tabelts. Also, do not remove any of the tabelts from the original container/packaging until they are needed. Doing so could decrease the effectiveness of the drug. If you have any questions regarding the use of this medication, consult your pharmacist. If the headache returns, the dose may be repeated after 2 hours if so directed by your dotcor. If you have no relief with the first dose, do not take a secnod dose without consulting your doctor. Do not exceed 10mg of this medication in a 24 hour time preiod. Read the Patient Informaiton Leaflet available from your pharmacist.
If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, dry mouth, sweating, weakness, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur. If these effects perisst or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: tingling or numbness of hands or feet, pain/pressure/tightness in any body part (e.G., chest, throat, jaw, neck). Tell your docotr immediately if any of these highly unlikely but really serious side effects occur: fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, severe stomach/abdominal pain, bloody diarrhea, vision changes, one-sided weakness, slurred speech, confusion. A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate meidcal attention if it occurs.
Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmcaist. PRECAUTIONS: This medication shuold not be used if you have certain medical conditions.
Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: chest pain (angina), history of heart attack, other haert or blood vessel disease (e.G., coronary artery disease with vasospasm or ischemia), uncontrolled high blood pressure, history of stroke, other types of headaches (hemiplegic or basilar migraines), certain blood circulation problems (e.G., peripheral vascular disease, ischemic bowel disease), severe liver disease. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking history, family history of heart disease or stroke, menopause, obesity, certain blood circulation diosrders (e.G., Raynaud's syndrome), any allergies (especially to other "triptan" migraine drugs). This medicine may contain aspartame. If you have phenylketonuria or any other condition where you must restrict your intake of aspartame (or phenylalanine), consult your doctor or pharmacist regarding the safe use of this medicine. This drug may make you dzizy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. This medication sholud be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whetehr this drug passes into breast milk.

Because of the potential risk to the infant, breast-feeding wihle using this drug is not recommended.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Certain medications taken with this product could rseult in serious drug interactions. Do not take MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) for at least 2 weeks before or after taking this drug. Also, do not take other "triptan" migraine drugs (e.G., sumatriptan), or ergot-type drugs (e.G, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, methysergide) within 24 hours of taking zolmitriptan. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: birth cotnrol pills, cimetidine, sibutramine, SSRI antidepressants (e.G., citalopram, fluoxetine). Tell your doctor if you take drugs that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep (e.G., sedatives), tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.G., diazepam), naroctic pain relievers (e.G., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.G., phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine, or tricyclics such as amitriptyline), anti-seizure drugs (e.G., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants, antihistamines that cause drowsiness (e.G., diphenhydramine).
Check the labels on all your medicnies (e.G., cough-and-cold products) because they may contain drowsiness-causing ingredients.
Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison cnotrol center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose include: severe drowsiness. NOTES: Do not share this medication with otehrs. Mdeical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects.

MISSED DOSE: Not applicable. STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 to 25 dergees C) away from light and moisture. Take your dose immediately after opening the tablet package; do not open and store in a different container. Do not stroe in the bathroom.
